Camp WACK

Camper Information

Camper Criteria:
For the safety of our campers, staff, and equipment, skiers MUST BE:

  1. 5+ years of age
  2. Hip width <19 inches
  3. Less than 300 pounds
  4. Moderate head control

Camp WACK staff reserves the right to require physician clearance for any/all campers for their safety and the safety of our volunteers.

If your camper has significant behavior concerns; please contact our board of directors at campwack@gmail.com PRIOR to registering for camp.

If a camper is unable to meet the above mentioned requirements, they may be turned away prior to or on ski day.  Thank you for your understanding.

Upon arrival:

  1. Sign in at the registration tent to collect their T-Shirt.
  2. Proceed to the cage fitting area to get fit for a life jacket. This lifejacket is yours for your entire ski session.  You are welcome (and encouraged) to bring personal life jackets if able.
  3. Camp staff will prep your ski and skiers will start on the water in the order they are fit. Volunteers MAY reorganize the ski order as the session continues in order to maximize time on the water.  We do our best to keep all ski runs equitable.
  4. Camp staff will prep your ski and skiers will ski on first come first serve basis.
  5. Campers will continue to ski through their entire time slot. After each camper present has skied once, the list/rotation will cycle again and again. Do not be afraid to enjoy the day, we will make sure you get your turn.
  6. Please notify staff in the cage fitting area if you leave prior to the end of the camp day (this prevents your ski from being set up when you are not present).

Pack for camp like you would pack for a day on the beach. Suggestions include:

  • Parent, guardian, and/or Caregivers (must be present at all times)
  • Bathing suit
  • Change of clothes for after skiing (changing space is available as needed)
  • Towel(s)
  • Sunscreen
  • Camera
  • Lawn chairs
  • Swim diaper if needed
  • Drinks and Snacks

**We do not have running water at camp. Please plan to bring snacks and drinks for all campers, family members, and caregivers. We will only have food and drink on hand for emergency purposes. Lunch and snacks are only provided to volunteers each day.
**We do have port-a-pots with hand washing stations and large tents. Please feel free to sit under the tents to get out of the sun.
